AIDA
1917

AIDA Ironworks founded in Honjo, Tokyo, by Yokei Aida

1923

Totally destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake but rebuilt immediately

1933

Introduced the first Japanese knuckle-joint press

1937

Incorporated as a limited company with capital of 200,000 yen

1945

The factory totally destroyed in an air raid, rebuilt and operations restarted two months later

1951

Introduced the first Japanese crown capping press

1955

Introduced the first 200tf high-speed automatic press

1959

New factory constructed in Sagamihara City (current headquarters)

1960

Introduced the first Japanese transfer press

1962

Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, 2nd section

1964

Headquarters and Kameido factory moved and integrated into the Sagamihara facility

1967

Completed 2,500 -ton transfer press, the largest class in the world

1968

Introduced “Autohand,” the first Japanese industrial robot

1970

Company name changed to AIDA ENGINEERING, LTD

Segregation of production from AIDA ENGINEERING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. to

AIDA GREATER ASIA PHILIPPINES, INC. established

Completed the development of a 2,700-ton progressive servo press

2016

In 2016, a R&D center was established in Weingarten, Germany.

2017

In 2017, the Japanese company Reliance Electric Limited and its subsidiary RAS Co., Ltd. were incoporated into AIDA.

2018

In 2018, Reliance Electric Limited and its subsidiary RAS Co., Ltd. were acquired by AIDA

2019

and renamed "REJ Co., Ltd." in January 2019

2020

In 2020, the wholly-owned subsidiary ACCESS, LTD., was merged  into AIDA.

2022

In 2022, AIDA was transferred to the Prime Market with the reorganization of the Tokyo Stock Exchange market segments.
